Image
My Most Hyped Games coming out in November 2021 It’s time to look at what games are c oming up in November that I’m excited about. Keep in mind this is my list of games I'm excited for and your list will be different. If you're looking for a full list of the games coming out in November then I recommend Game Informers 2021 video game release schedule, you can check it out  here .  Forza Horizon 5. This looks like the first new-gen racing game.  This game is open-world and is set in Mexico. I had Forza Horizon 4 downloaded to my Xbox as my music game. I would load into the game and play some music as I raced around the lands of Great Britain. I'm excited to do this again in the new game in the series but I also want to experience the other modes and races.  It is coming to Xbox and PC Gamepass day one which just makes me want to check it out even more. I'll be racing in Mexico when it c omes out on Nov. 9th. Animal Crossing New Horizons Happy Home Paradise. The new DL...

What Ya Playing 10/27/21

What Ya Playing Wednesday?? It’s time for the fifth entry in the “What Ya playing” series.  This series is a check-in with both you the reader and me the writer. More information on how you can write into this series will be at the bottom of this article.  It’s now time to ask What Ya Playing  Wednesday?? This week I only have one game I’ve been playing and it is Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy. The new game developed by Eidos-Montréal and published by Square Enix. This game is great. It’s a story-focused adventure in which you play as Star-Lord (Peter). I’m not very far in the game but plan to finish and maybe even 100% it. The combat as Peter is good but has its flaws. You only control Star-Lord and give commands to your fellow guardians. I liked this system but I feel like you can’t do a lot of damage on your own. My favorite part is the team huddles where you call your teammates into a huddle and give them an encouraging speech. After the huddle, you play some music on...

Xbox Gamepass is getting even more games coming in October.  For anyone unaware, if you are subscribed to Gamepass Ultimate (or Gamepass)  then you will be able to play these games until they leave Xbox Gamepass in the far future. You also won’t be able to play these games if your not subscribed to gamepass in the future, but if you leave and return to gamepass these games will be waiting for you unless they have left the service.  I’m keeping the description of the games here short simply because there are a lot of games to list. Now o n with the games!   Into the Pit (Cloud, Console, and PC) A fast-paced retro FPS rogue-lite game.   It came to Gamepass on Oct. 19th. Outriders (PC) Outriders is a 1-3 player co-op RPG shooter set in a dark sci-fi universe.  It came to Gamepass on Oct. 19th. What Ya Playing Wednesday?? It’s time for the fourth entry in the “What Ya playing” series.  This series is a check-in with both you the reader and me the writer. More information on how you can write into this series will be at the bottom of this article.  It’s now time to ask What Ya Playing  Wednesday?? The only game for this week's What Ya Playing Wednesday is Hollow Knight. I just finished Hollow Knight and this game is amazing. I got the regular ending and didn’t do any side quests. It’s very hard and the final boss took me many attempts before I bested him. The whole game is beautiful and fun, especially for an indie game. That’s my brief thoughts of Hollow Knight after finishing it.  I’m planning on writing a full review of Hollow Knight here soon, so look forward to it. I  highly recommend Hollow Knight if you like Metroidvanias and/or Souls likes. It’s also on Xbox and PC Gamepass, so there’s even more reason to give it a look.  That has been What...

The Xbox Series X Mini Fridge Is Real

Image
The Xbox Series X Mini Fridge Is Real  What started as a meme is now a real product being sold. When the Xbox Series X console was announced a lot of people pointed to how it looks similar to a fridge. Microsoft embraced this gag making a full-size fridge for Snoop Dogg and iJustine. A later partnership with ZOA (energy drink company) had a giveaway for one lucky fan to win an Xbox Series X mini-fridge. Now in a partnership with Ukonic! Microsoft is manufacturing mini-fridges that look like the Xbox Series X. These mini fridges will come with a DC power adapter so you can use the fridge on the go. The fridges  will have the ability to light up both where the Xbox logo is and on top of the fridge. They will also have a USB port in the front of the fridge for charging anything from a smartphone to an Xbox controller. The fridge itself can hold 12 cans of your favorite (or least favorite) beverages and has two shelves in the door for your snacks.  The fridges will go on pre-...

What Ya Playing Wednesday?? It’s time for the third entry in the “What Ya playing” series.  This series is a check-in with both you the reader and me the writer. More information on how you can write into this series will be at the bottom of this article.  It’s now time to ask What Ya Playing  Wednesday?? The first game for this week's What Ya Playing Wednesday is Hollow Knight. I played a lot of Hollow Knight years ago but I never finished it. I finally decided to give it another try and this time hopefully stick with it till the credits. I’m a few hours in and I’m already loving it again. It’s got such a beautiful hand-drawn aesthetic and great gameplay. I recommend Hollow Knight if you like Metroidvanias and/or Souls likes. It’s also on Xbox and PC Gamepass, so there’s even more reason to check it out.  The second and final game for this week's What Ya Playing Wednesday is Metroid Dread. I finished and 100% this game the other day and it's wonderful. I'm not going...

Xbox Gamepass Games coming in October 2021 Xbox Gamepass is getting another good lineup of free games. Totally Accurate Battle Simulator (Cloud, Console, and PC) TABS is a goofy strategy game. It came to Gamepass on Oct. 5th. The Procession to Calvary (Cloud, Console, and PC) A Pythonesque adventure game, where you journey through a landscape made of Renaissance paintings. It came to Gamepass on Oct. 7th. What Ya Playing?? 10/6/21

Image
What Ya Playing Wednesday?? It’s time for the second article in the “What Ya Playing” series. This series is a check-in with both you the reader and me the writer. This is usually a weekly write-up coming out every Wednesday, but some weeks (such as last week) there won’t be one. Simply because some weeks I don’t have the time to be playing video games. Just wanted to let you know in case you were wondering where last week's What Ya Playing was.  So it’s now time to ask What Ya Playing Wednesday?? Starting with the rouge-like that made people love rouge-likes, Hades. I’ve got 3 more successful runs before I get the true ending. I’m enjoying this game but the fact that you have to finish it 10 times to get the true ending, brings down the experience. The visuals and gameplay are great and the voice acting is wonderful. Overall Hades is a great game that I recommend to anyone who has a Switch even if you don’t love the rogue-like genre.  Ending with a game that doesn’t count. St...

Sora is the final fighter coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate  Sora from Kingdom Hearts is coming to Smash, as detailed in the final Sakurai Presents. All of these costumes will also be available to purchase on Oct. 18th for $0.75 each.  You will have 8 outfits to choose from when you play as Sora, including outfits from all 3 mainline Kingdom Hearts games. I’m not a Smash expert so I’m not going to try to detail his moves but if your interested in that the whole Sakurai Presents will b...

They will only be unable for you to play if you are not subscribed to the service in the future, but if you leave and return to the service these games will be waiting for you. On with the games! This game is available from Oct. 1st to Oct. 30th. Next up is Hover. Hover is a 3D Open-world game where a resistance group fights the evil laws and corporations in their world.
