PS State of Play News

Here are all the new games shown at the PlayStation State of play in October 2021.

Deathverse Let it Die. This looks like a Battle royal game. You pick from a wide array of characters with unique weapons. The combat is focused on swords and abilities compared to guns like other battle royal games. Forge new weapons and compete again when it launches in Spring 2022 for PS4 and PS5. 

We are OFK. This game was shown with a funny trailer questioning the State of Play name. This game is a five-episode series that tells the story of the start of the indie-pop group OFK. The game has dialogue choices, texting, and flirting. Each episode lets you play an interactive music video of a song in the group's new EP. This interactive story game is coming to PS4 and PS5 sometime in 2022.

Bugsnax the isle of Bigsnax. The new free update to Bugsnax. The new additions to the game are big Bugsnax, bugsnax who wear hats, and a hut you can customize. This new update is coming in early 2022 for PS4 and PS5. 

Five Nights at Freddy’s Security Breach is the new entry in the Five Nights at Freddy’s series. The pizza place has closed but you are still inside. Don’t worry you can get out but only if you can survive till 6:00 the next Morning. The creepy animatronics that turn evil when the sun sets won’t make it easy on you. Will you escape? This game is coming on Dec. 16th, 2021 to PS4 and PS5. 

Deaths Door is coming to PlayStation. It is a  challenging RPG game. It launches on Nov. 23rd, 2021 for PS4 and PS5. If you preorder the game to get Titan Souls for free. 

Kartrider Drift is a Mario kart-style game. It will be free to play and most likely will have microtransactions. It’s releasing sometime in 2022.

The King of Fighters XV is a fighting game. Choose from eight characters to battle with in both Online and Offline battles. There is an open beta in late November and the full release is on Feb. 17th, 2022 for PS4 and PS5. 

First Class Trouble is a social deduction game. Before you hop into a match you can customize your character. When you start a match you are randomly assigned one of two roles. You are either a resident or a personiod. The resident's goal is to reach the heart of the spaceship you are on. The personiods goal is to stop the residents from reaching their goal at all costs. It’s coming on Nov. 2nd, 2021 to PS4 and PS5. If you are a PS Plus member then you will be able to download this game from Nov. 2nd to Dec. 6th at no extra cost.

Star Ocean the Divine Force. The Trailer for this game showcases great mobility with air dashes and gliding in an expansive Sci-fi world. The fluid combat against both big bosses and little monsters looks awesome. This game is coming to PS4 and PS5 sometime in 2022. 

Little Devil Inside. You control Billy a mercenary for hire. He signs up for what should be an easy job. The job is to pick up a mysterious artifact and deliver it to a local professor. When you enter the mansion that the artifact is located in the butler takes you to the basement where it’s located, right as you enter the basement he pushes you into a pit. Inside this pit is an octopus monster that you have to defeat. Ever since leaving the mansion strange creatures keep attacking you throughout your journeys. You must use your survival skills to cook and eat food and fend off these creatures. While no release date was shown hopefully we won’t have to wait long to play this game.

That’s everything shown at the PlayStation State of Play on October 2021. Sorry about this going up late I had technical difficulties yesterday. My favorite thing shown at this event was the Bugsnax update. It reminded me that I should check out that game.
