What to expect from Elevate Games in 2022

What to expect from Elevate Games in 2022

By: Evan1Sonic. With it being a new year I've come up with some things I want to change about Elevate Games that should make the website even better.

What Ya Playing will return. While I don't have a date set in stone for the return it will be very soon. What Ya Playing while still including what games I've been playing will be more focused on what games you and fellow members of the community have been playing recently.

New show Sunday Scoops. This is a new series similar to What Ya Playing in format. While there may not be a Sunday Scoops every Sunday due to lack of news some weeks I'll try to release one as often as possible.

A new welcome to Elevate Games post. If you've read the original welcome to Elevate Games post recently you know it's not very relevant to what I've been doing with the site currently. This new post will explain what I do at Elevate Games all the weekly content and series I'm doing and everything we cover here. Look for this post from late January to late February.

Better Social Media Content. I've been running social media accounts for Elevate Games on Twitter and Instagram, and they've both been going great. I want to get better at running these accounts. That includes better posts, more posts, and the goal of growing these accounts' followings. You can visit Elevate Games Instagram here and Twitter here. Thanks.

New Ending sentence. No longer will I say: I hope you enjoyed and Game On! I don't yet know what I will say instead but I want to change it. This will start on February 1st, 2022, and will continue until I feel it's necessary to change it again.

New Review Format. I'm looking at all different types of reviews and how I could change my format to better suit Elevate Games. Expect new style reviews with a new format and maybe even visual design in January or early February.

A Patreon for Elevate Games. I will be releasing a Patreon for Elevate Games, with benefits for supporters, at some point in 2022.

New visual design for the site. I will have a new look at the site coming at some point in 2022.

A Community Discord for Elevate Games. This discord will be a great place to hang out with fellow gamers and discuss games and whatever else. It will be open to anyone for free. Expect it releasing at some point in the next few months.

Answers to common questions I've gotten about Elevate Games.

How much content should I expect from Elevate Games? Anywhere between eight and twenty pieces of content depending on what I have planned for the month and what video games release in that month. Expect less but better content in general.

Will you be covering new games before their release date? If I get the opportunity to play a game before release I will happily cover it. There's nothing I can do (to my knowledge) to get a preview or review copy of a game other than growing Elevate Games. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to do this soon.

What Will I be covering this year? Most platforms. Elevate Games will be able to cover anything other than some PC games and VR games simply due to not having the hardware capable of running these games. I'll cover things that I'm excited about along with reviews for new games, hardware, and such. I also will cover all platforms including PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo.

Will Elevate Games make a podcast? This is something I've thought about doing for a while now. I don't have any plans on making a podcast right now or anytime soon.

Will I be bringing on people to work at Elevate Games? No, I do not plan on hiring anyone to help out on the site currently. If you're ever looking for a way to reach me, both for professional and personal inquiries, you can do so at elevategamesmail@gmail.com, I'm open to collaborations and any ideas you may have.

Will Elevate Games expand to YouTube or Twitch? Possibly in the future. I've considered expanding to YouTube and Twitch often since I started Elevate Games. The biggest reason I haven't yet is simply that it would take away time from writing content for the site. The site is the focus right now and if that ever changes in the future I may expand to YouTube and/or Twitch.

Will Elevate Games expand to other media such as Film, Television, Books, and/or Music? I'm not fully against expanding Elevate Games to other media but if I do it will be in the far future. Video games are my strong suit and while I enjoy movies, books, television, and music I don't know how I would review and/or talk about them the same critical way that I do video games. I do see myself making a few articles about other media and media relating to video games in the near future to dip my toes in covering other media.

Will Elevate Games Expand to more Retro gaming content? I would like to. Ever since I started Elevate Games I wanted to write about retro games along with writing about the new games releasing each day. While I haven't written very much about older games it's something I would enjoy writing about. I'll hopefully write about these types of games on What Ya Playing and in Reviews at some point in 2022.

What is the best piece of Elevate Games content so far? I'd say the best piece of content I've ever written here would be My Top Ten Games of 2021 list. I had a great time writing this list and I'm very proud of it. You can check it out here.

Are you happy with where Elevate Games is right now? Yes. While I feel like there's so much more I can do to make the site better I'm very happy with where it's at right now.

I know this is a lot of changes but I really think every one of these will help make the site even better. Thanks as always for the support.

I hope you enjoyed and Game On!
