Xbox Gold games | December 2021

The new free games coming to the Xbox Gold lineup have been revealed and will be coming soon. For anyone unaware, if you have a subscription to Xbox Gold (or Gamepass Ultimate), then for a limited time, you can get and download these games for free. They will only be unable to play if you don't have the subscription in the future, but if you leave and return, these games will be waiting for you. Now on with the games! 

The Escapists 2. The sequel to the hit indie game Escapists. You play the role of a prisoner who has one goal: to escape captivity. Some of the levels include Fort Tundra, a prison somewhere in Siberian, and Cougar Creek Railroad, a prison train in the desert. With a character creator, multiple ways to escape each prison, and both local and online multiplayer, you are sure to have a blast getting out of jail. The Escapists 2 is available from Dec. 1st to Dec. 31st.

Tropico 5 - Penultimate Edition. The fifth entry in the Tropico series. Start your rule in the colonial times and work your way up past the 21st Century in this Dictator sim, strategy game. Tropico 5 - Penultimate Edition is available from Dec. 16th to Jan. 15th.

Orcs Must Die! Orcs Must Die! is a Fantasy Action-Strategy game from the team at Robot Entertainment. You play the role of a powerful War Mage with one goal to kill all the Orcs. You have a ton of weapons, spells, and traps to use to achieve your goal. Orcs Must Die! is available from Dec. 1st to Dec. 15th.

Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet. Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet is a 2-D action-adventure game made by a team consisting of a few people. You control a vehicle that looks similar to a UFO as you explore the unique world around you. As you continue getting closer towards the center of the shadow planet, you find evil creatures you have to defeat. Will you succeed in fighting to save your homeworld, or will this mysterious planet be too much for you? Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet is available from Dec. 16th to Dec. 31st.
