What Ya Playing 11/17/21
It’s time for the eighth entry in the “What Ya playing” series. This series is a check-in with both you, the reader and me, the writer. More information on how you can write into this series will be at the bottom of this article. It’s now time to ask What Ya Playing Wednesday??
Halo Infinite’s Multiplayer is the first game on this week's What Ya Playing. I've been playing solo and I'm about five hours in so far. I have been weirdly not enjoying the multiplayer much so far. I love both the small and tight corridor maps and the big and expansive maps. I also love the vehicles, driving a warthog over enemies and smashing them will always feel satisfying. The shooting feels good with both regular weapons like the MA40 Assault Rifle and power weapons like the Gravity Hammer. Even with all this, I can't seem to truly enjoy the multiplayer so far. I haven't tried the ranked mode yet, something I think I will enjoy much more than Quickplay and Big Team Battle. If you can get a bunch of friends together I think you will have tons of fun playing, but if you plan to go in as a Solo player you won't have quite as much fun.
Forza Horizon 5 is the second and final game on this week's What Ya Playing. I'm at level seventy-seven and have finished all of the Horizon Adventure missions. Forza Horizon 5 is my favorite racing game in a while. The open world looks stunning, with each environment in this depiction of Mexico looking significantly different from the last. With the smooth driving controls, it feels great to drive across this environment. While I enjoyed the Horizon Adventure missions, all of the other races in the game felt either too short and repetitive or like filler used to pad out the world. I did enjoy the speed traps, ramps, and drift zones sprinkled throughout this depiction of Mexico. All things considered, I enjoyed my time with Forza Horizon 5 and I think I'm done playing for a while maybe even until the next Forza Horizon game.
