Big Switch Online Update!!

Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis Games coming to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack was just unveiled at the September 2021 Nintendo Direct. This is a big update to the Nintendo Switch Online service. This update gives you the ability to play select Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis as detailed below. Games coming at launch for the N64

The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Starfox 64, Yoshi's Story, Mario Tennis, Dr. Mario 64, Win Back Covet Operations, and Sin and Punishment.

Games confirmed to be coming post-launch for the N64

The Legend of Zelda Majoras Mask, Mario Golf, Pokemon Snap, F-zero X, Kirby 64 The Crystal Shards, Paper Mario, and Banjo Kazooie.

Games coming at launch for the Sega Genesis 

Castlevania Bloodlines, Contra Hard Corps, Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, Ecco the Dolphin, Golden Axe, Gunstar Heroes, MUSHA, Phantasy Star IV, Ristar, Shining Force, Shinobi III Return of the Ninja Master, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Streets of Rage 2, and Strider. 

New Controllers Available for purchase 

Both an N64 and Sega Genesis full-size controller will be available to purchase for $49.99, at a later date. You can use these controllers wirelessly. Keep in mind you can only purchase these controllers if you are a Nintendo Switch Online member. 

Additional Details

This new plan will include all elements of the base Nintendo Switch Online membership and the ability to play the, included Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis games. This new plan will be launching in late October. You will be able to continue using Nintendo Switch Online (base). Also, you will be able to change over from the old plan to the new one. The exact release date and pricing will be unveiled at a later date. More games for both the N64 and Sega Genesis will be added in the future.
